Deacon Manny Martinez, Bro. Rudy Valenzuela, Bro. Louis Magdaleno
On September 11, 2004, three new men entered the novitiate of the Friars of the Sick Poor of Los Angeles. All three men have been very involved in Ministry to those who are in most need.
Deacon Manny Martinez, fsp is the Director of Deacons for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Manny is also the Deacon of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. In his ministry, Manny has been of service to all those in need and in a very special way has ministered to those deacons and their families throughout the Archdiocese who give so generously of their time and talents to the people of God within the Archdiocese.
Brother Rudy Valenzuela, fsp is an adult nurse practitioner who ministers with those who are in most need. He is the Director of Clinical Services and Health Promotion of the Regional Center for Border Health in San Luis,Arizona. Brother Rudy was recently elected the President of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.

Louis Magdaleno, fsp is an elementary school teacher who ministers
and teaches children that are in most need within the inner city. Brother
Louis also volunteers as a pastoral minister to those who are ill and hospitalized.
